Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories is a full-service clinical laboratory serving medical practitioners in Central Coast and Southern California regions. An independent subsidiary of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, we are seeking a Patient Services Center Supervisor to assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of phlebotomy services at Patient Services Centers (PSC) and contracted blood draw locations. You will:

  • Oversee and supervise phlebotomy services and technicians at multiple locations, meeting quality and service standards and objectives
  • Establish and evaluate procedures for effectiveness and implement changes where appropriate
  • Hire, train, direct and evaluate personnel, and develop lead workers to oversee daily routines
  • Develop work schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Assist with department budget and forecasts


  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 or more years of experience in phlebotomy, laboratory or other health care environment, including 1 or more years of supervisory experience
  • Current California phlebotomy certificate
  • Proficient use of MS Office and other software applications and typing 30 of WPM
  • Valid class "C" California driver license and acceptable driving record
