This is a Countywide Criminal/Traffic position, the Manager is responsible for Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Lompoc locations.

In addition to the base wage, employees in this classification receive:
-Biweekly "unit cash" allowance of $311.54.
-Biweekly Court contribution of up to $351.00 towards cost of medical premium.
-Biweekly Court contribution of $13.02 towards cost of dental premium.
-Biweekly Court contribution of approximately 29.3% of gross wages towards employee's mandatory retirement account.

Additionally, employees from current public employers (federal, state, and/or local government) may qualify for:
-Retirement reciprocity.-Time and service credit towards vacation accrual rate.

Under administrative direction, manages the operations of a Division of the Superior Court; manages the day-to-day operations and support functions of the assigned Division. Incumbents report directly to the Chief Deputy Executive Officer; performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.  Typical ways to obtain the knowledge and abilities required would be:

Judicial Services Manager

  1. Possession of a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration, or a related field; AND EITHER:
  2. Three years of administrative experience in a trial court, including one year of supervision (a master's degree in Court or Judicial Administration, or a Juris Doctor degree may be substituted for one year of the required administrative work experience); OR
  3. Three years of experience performing duties equivalent to a Judicial Services Supervisor; OR
  4. Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities, as determined by the Court

Ability to travel independently as needed is required.

Judicial Services Manager Senior

  1. Possession of a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration, or a related field; AND EITHER:
  2. Three years of management experience in a trial court, including one year of supervision (a master's degree in Court or Judicial Administration, or a Juris Doctor degree may be substituted for one year of the required management work experience); OR
  3. Three years of experience performing duties equivalent to Judicial Services Manager with the Superior Court of California, Santa Barbara County; OR
  4. Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities, as determined by the Court.

Ability to travel independently as needed is required.

Additional Requirements: Incumbents, at both levels, must be willing to travel between court branch offices at various locations throughout the county.
