When you join our team, you'll collaborate with a passionate crew pushing the limits of design and technology, delivering equipment built to empower people in the field.

The Role

The Product Line Manager will lead the strategy, development, launch, and lifecycle of MAAK's Mobile, Power & Mounts product categories. This role serves as the product owner and consumer advocate, translating consumer, market, competitive, technical, and business insights into products that deliver against MAAK's design, performance, and commercial goals.

  • Lead physical product development from concept through production and launch.
  • Define product briefs, requirements, feature sets, priorities, and development timelines.
  • Review and guide product development with Industrial Design and Engineering, influencing decisions around usability, performance, materials, features, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Manage OEM and supplier relationships, including factory communication, development timelines, tooling, costing, quality, and production readiness.
  • Own product financials, including business cases, target cost, pricing, margin, and commercial performance.
  • Manage BOMs, SKUs, product configurations, packaging, and product lifecycle.
  • Build a regular practice of consumer engagement, field testing, market research, trend research, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead product positioning, storytelling, and commercialization in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
  • Identify new products, technologies, materials, partnerships, and category opportunities.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in product management or product development, or a related physical-product role.
  • Demonstrated experience bringing consumer products from concept through manufacturing and launch.
  • Experience working closely with Industrial Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Experience working directly with factories, OEMs, and suppliers.
  • Experience with injection-molded products; experience with softgoods and/or consumer electronics is a strong plus.
  • Strong product judgment with high standards for design, usability, quality, and execution.
  • Ability to review concepts, CAD, prototypes, and samples and provide clear product direction and feedback.
  • Strong understanding of product costing, margins, manufacturing processes, and commercialization.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and project leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance consumer needs, design, performance, technical feasibility, cost, quality, timing, and business objectives.
  • Experience or strong interest in outdoor, mobile accessories, power, mounting systems, tactical, or other technical consumer products.
  • Passion for building high-quality products and understanding how people use them in the real world.
