Distribution Control Associate for Imaging in Goleta, CA. Contractor (pay-as-you-go). 100% Onsite. Marketplace Pay Rate: $20.42/hr. Contract expected Aug 10, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 (143 days). Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST. New position to fill stockroom needs: shipping, receiving, and distribution of stock in Goleta, both internally and outbound. One onsite interview per candidate.Summary: Distribution Control Associates are assigned daily tasks dependent on the needs within Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom areas, as directed by the Distribution Control Manager. Associates are fully competent across all functional areas and able to work with minimal supervision on routine tasks.Day-to-day: using hand trucks and pallet jacks; on your feet most of the day (bending, stooping, lifting); learning SAP and shipping software (DHL, FedEx, etc.).Essential Functions: Receive incoming shipments: review packing lists, verify quantities, visually inspect packaging, process to Receiving InspectionCommunicate concerns/issues to Purchasing, Receiving Inspection, the Distribution Control Manager, and external customersReceive material from Receiving Inspection and the Production floor; visually inspect and stock in proper locationsUnderstand and transact all entries into SAP to achieve required accuracyPick kits, replenish Kanbans, and perform cycle counts as instructedAssist in shipping products to external customers: pack per shipping instructions, pull units from finished goods/inventory, transact entries in SAPParticipate in continuous improvement teams and projectsTraining on work instructions including Material Receiving (MWI-0006-REC), Receipt Storage & Handling, Replenishing Kanbans/Green Cards, Filling Kits, Cycle Counting, Shipping/Packaging Instructions, CE Stamping, and Finished Device DistributionRequirements: Basic computer skills and ability to perform inventory transactions in SAPAbility to follow procedures and instructionsAccurately count inventory parts and process paperworkOral and written communication skills sufficient for the roleValid California driver's licenseBasic math skillsKnowledge of medical device quality system regulations and standards (U.S. FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001)Regular attendance; ability to carry/lift up to 40 lbs; stand for long periods and walk frequentlyReporting location: Karl Storz Imaging, Inc., 1 S Los Carneros Rd, Goleta, CA 93117.#J-18808-Ljbffr
