School Aide (Paraprofessional) – Santa Barbara, CA

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate School Aides for the 2026–2027 school year in the Santa Barbara area. Candidates must have experience working with children and a passion for supporting students in the classroom.

Position Details

• Location: Santa Barbara, CA

• Schedule: 32.5 hours per week

• Start Date: August 17, 2026

• Contract Length: 2026–2027 School Year

• Student Population: Elementary through High School

• Setting: In-Person

• Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Overview

The School Aide works with students who require instructional and/or behavioral support under the supervision of the special education department, teacher, or designated school personnel. Responsibilities may also include assisting students with personal care, mobility, and therapeutic needs as outlined by educational and healthcare professionals.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Experience working with children required

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to comply with all professional standards of practice

• Current CPR Certification (if required)

• TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if required)

• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state requirements)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
