Essential Functions of PositionProvide quality instructions, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of Part‑time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part‑time instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.Part‑Time Faculty SalaryThe starting credit part‑time faculty rate from salary table 11 is $102.90 per hour for lecture and $82.33 per hour for lab. If you have a doctorate, the rate is $107.87 per hour for lecture and $86.30 per hour for lab.Minimum QualificationsMaster's in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood educationOR Bachelor's in any of the above and a Master's in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies or family and consumer studiesOR Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to all of the above.
