Manufacturing Operations SupervisorResponsibilities Manage small projects or processes.Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.Coach and review the work of area technicians.Collect status and barriers to enable effective shift handoffs and communication to factory supervision.Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and increase throughput in work cells.Provide team leadership and model behaviors including adherence to policies and factory rules, timely completion of required training, and attention to detail.Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.Rotate between labs and support numerous teams.Balance labor resources to support changing production priorities.Ensure production documentation, labor reporting, and manufacturing records such as sign offs/JSTD certs are accurate and completed on time.Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.Experience working in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Production, and/or Quality environments.Preferred Qualifications Time management skills.Organizational skills.Excellent communication skills.Advanced assembly experience in detector packaging technologies such as laser welding, sub-assemblies and precision alignment.Experience in manufacturing information systems.Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing.Advanced knowledge of lab operations.Factory communications, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 structure understanding.Understanding of 30-60-90 and flow down to factory management.Compensation and Benefits Salary range: 95,500 USD – 181,700 USD.Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability.401(k) match.Flexible spending accounts.Flexible work schedules.Employee assistance program.Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs (dependent on business and performance).Role is U.S.-based.
