Responsibilities include applying PMO standards, governance, and best practices across projects, managing project scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships, and ensuring policy compliance and continuous improvement for federal, state, and local disaster recovery initiatives.Tasks, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesStrategy, Corporate, and Project LeadershipManage critical FEMA Public Assistance and emergency management projects, ensuring all contract scope of work elements are delivered on time and within budgetLead client communications, stakeholder briefings, and coordination with federal, state, and local agenciesIdentify impacts of policy changes and brief leadership and clients on implications for recovery programsMaintain accuracy and integrity of PMO systems, dashboards, reporting tools, and project documentationMeasure project and portfolio performance to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesPresent PMO insights, trends, and recovery progress to leadership and clientsUtilize industry best practices, standards, and FEMA guidance throughout the full project lifecycleTraining, Governance, and Compliance SupportEnsure compliance with PMO governance standards, FEMA PA requirements, and applicable state and federal policiesDesign, deliver, and support training programs, mentoring, and study groups for Project Managers, SMEs, and project teamsFacilitate onboarding and ongoing coaching for PMs and staff on PMO methodology, tools, templates, and compliance expectationsManage stage‑gate reviews, audits, quality control processes, and corrective action plansPerform quality control reviews of consultant deliverables and client‑provided documentationMaintain and contribute to the PMO best practices library, training materials, job aids, and playbooksProject Coordination, Operations, and Recovery SupportLead development and maintenance of project schedules, work plans, resource plans, budgets, and cost trackingTrack RAID logs, action items, risks, and decisions at project and portfolio levelsPrepare and review technical specifications, analyses, studies, reports, and recovery documentationSupport broader emergency management, security, and safety activities as requiredEnsure consistent reporting cadence and adherence to contract and client requirementsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced understanding of project management methodologies, FEMA Public Assistance programs, and emergency management frameworksStrong working knowledge of state and local emergency plans, agencies, and funding sourcesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to brief diverse stakeholdersStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilitiesAbility to train, coach, mentor, and lead teams in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly ExcelSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSenior Project Manager may lead project teams or small teams, depending on function, with senior level support.Expected Hours of WorkSchedule may vary.
