Job DescriptionThe Field Equipment & Fleet Support Technician is responsible for keeping all company-owned and rental equipment operational, fueled, lubricated, inspected, and ready for daily production. This position serves as the primary equipment support person on the jobsite, coordinating equipment deliveries and returns, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring operators always have safe and reliable equipment available.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, safety‑focused, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced construction environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & RepairsPerform daily inspections of construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, and support machinery.Conduct preventative maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, greasing, fluid checks, and minor repairs.Troubleshoot equipment problems and coordinate major repairs with outside vendors and dealerships.Maintain maintenance records and service schedules for all equipment.Monitor equipment hours and schedule required services.Fueling & LubricationFuel equipment and maintain fuel inventory.Perform greasing and lubrication of all heavy equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.Monitor and replenish oils, hydraulic fluids, coolant, DEF, and other operational fluids.Maintain fuel and lubricant storage areas in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.Equipment LogisticsReceive and inspect incoming rental equipment.Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.Deliver tools, parts, fuel, and supplies to crews as needed.Assist project managers and foremen with equipment planning and utilization.Maintain organized equipment yards, storage containers, and service areas.Inventory & Parts ManagementMaintain inventory of commonly used filters, fluids, belts, hoses, fittings, and wear parts.Maintain accurate equipment service logs and inspection records.Safety & CompliancePerform equipment safety inspections.Ensure all equipment meets OSHA and company safety requirements.Maintain spill prevention supplies and environmental compliance measures.Report unsafe conditions and equipment deficiencies immediately.QualificationsRequiredExperience working with construction equipment, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or fleet maintenance.Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and construction equipment operations.Ability to perform preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.Valid driver's license with clean driving record.Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
