School Aide – $20/hr | Full-Time or Part-Time

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is hiring School Aides for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy supporting students, assisting teachers, and helping maintain a positive, structured learning environment.

Role Overview

School Aides support classroom instruction, supervise students, and assist with daily routines to ensure a safe and engaging school environment.

Key Job Duties

• Assist teachers with classroom activities, organization, and daily routines

• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students

• Supervise students during recess, lunch, transitions, and classroom activities

• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social needs

• Help implement IEP accommodations under teacher guidance

• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

• Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff

Requirements

• Must have experience working with children (schools, childcare, tutoring, camps, etc.)

• High school diploma or GED

• Must be at least 18 years old

• CPR/TB clearance may be required depending on district

Position Details

• Pay: $20/hr

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: Full-time or part-time available

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
