Multifamily Construction Superintendent

We are currently representing a well-established and growing general contractor seeking an experienced Multifamily Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale residential projects. This role is responsible for leading all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities and ensure progress aligns with the project schedule
  • Conduct and lead weekly subcontractor meetings to maintain communication and accountability
  • Ensure all work meets construction documents, building codes, and project specifications
  • Develop and manage construction timelines, adjusting as needed to meet milestones
  • Coordinate efforts with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Perform regular site inspections to monitor quality and identify potential risks
  • Resolve field conflicts and provide consistent on-site leadership to crews
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to address design and construction issues
  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, reports, and change orders
  • Track costs, control budgets, and implement financial efficiency practices
  • Conduct daily safety walks and lead weekly tailgate safety meetings to ensure compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in multifamily construction
  • Strong working knowledge of ground-up and large-scale residential projects
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong leadership, time management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
  • Budgeting and cost tracking experience required
  • Familiarity with estimating software is a plus
