Leads a small (5-10 FTE) team of mechanical, electrical, optical, and hardware sustaining engineers to deliver robust, high performance robotic exoscope products. A proven leader and mentor that has the ability to clarify difficult technical topics and provide clear goals for the team. This person will motivate the team to create the next generation of imaging, navigation, robotic and display technologies. The position requiresself‑motivation and the ability to operate with minimal guidance to coordinate interactions with various contributors and stakeholders that surround technically complex designs. An intuitive feel for robotic, mechatronic, and optical systems is required as is the ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary engineering teams. Medical device experience is strongly preferred, and candidates must have a track record of managing engineering teams through the full product development cycle, from concept through manufacturing transfer and launch, including standards compliance, regulatory testing and submission.
Salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $185,000. Base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus and all applicable company benefits. The salary range and/or hourly pay rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future.

Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related. Minimum of 6+ years of product development experience and 3+ years engineering management experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or equivalent.
