A company is looking for an Optical Network Engineer III.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform moves/adds/changes on the optical network, including hands-on configuration of Nokia PSS, CISCO NCS2015, and Ciena 6500 platformsDesign, build, configure, and manage the installation and deployment of the optical network infrastructureInterpret complex work packages, execute tasks, and create detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documentsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in Optical Transport Deployment3+ years of experience with operation, administration, and maintenance of optical transport networksBachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceStrong familiarity with OTN, SONET, and DWDM technologiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
