Smashing Dishes and Tony Caters seek experienced Event Servers to work on-call for our events throughout the Bay Area. You will collaborate with the Back of House team to ensure clients have a delicious and positive event. This is an on-call position with a pay rate of $25.00/hour plus tips.

Founded in 2009, Smashing Dishes/ Tony Caters is a flourishing and highly respected off-site catering company that produces extraordinary events and exceptional food service across the Bay Area. We also have two additional cafes, inside the Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the Winchester Mystery House.

As an Event Server/ Attendant, you will be primarily responsible for setting up and serving meals to patrons at catered events. This is an on-call position.

Core Responsibilities:

• Set-up and tear down rooms for catered events, under direction from Event Manager, up to and including tables, chairs, buffet and associated decor
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service
• Interface with kitchen staff to coordinate regarding meal service
• Garnish and decorate dishes, as well as, buffet before serving
• Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
