JCS Cedar Cove is a charter school located in Encinitas, California. For 25 years, we have served students in grades TK-12. In our unique hybrid model, we teach TK-5th grade students in person four days per week, with Friday as a home study day. We are in our 3rd year of implementation of our 90/10 DLI model, adding a grade each year. We are looking to add an enthusiastic teacher leader and entrepreneur for our 2nd and 3rd grade classes for the 2026-27 school year to be an integral part in helping us continue to grow and design our program. Requirements / Qualifications

Current California Teaching Credential with a Bilingual Authorization in Spanish, or equivalent as recognized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). If you do not currently hold an appropriate California credential at the time of your application, your application will not be considered.

In addition to a resume and letter of introduction, we require three letters of recommendation, a current negative TB test, current CPR certification, and copies of all college transcripts to be uploaded at the time of application. The Academy Teacher - Dual Immersion position is designed to provide students with a rigorous bilingual education, fostering fluency in both Spanish and English, while promoting cultural understanding and academic excellence. A teacher at JCS-Inc must grow professionally, use best practices with students, impact student learning, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the school community. Preferred Experience: - Three to five years teaching experience in a similar charter school setting. - Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) math training - Experience teaching Leader in Me/ Seven Habits.
