Description:

Sr Executive Compensation Consultant

Irvine, CA

$150,000 - $225,000 + Performance Bonus + Equity + Sign-on + Relocation

The Opportunity: Your Team, Your Impact

As the Senior Executive Compensation Consultant, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for building and maintaining the governance, structure, and analytical foundation that supports executive compensation in a high-growth, public-company environment.

You will own the operating model for executive compensation governance, enabling disciplined planning for Compensation Committee meetings, regulatory disclosures, and annual filings. This is a high-visibility role that demands a rare blend of technical financial modeling and the executive-facing "polish" required to drive cross-functional alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Operating Model

  • Own the Annual Calendar: Lead the planning for the Compensation Committee and key filing milestones, ensuring all materials, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination are executed with precision.
  • Structure & Rigor: Establish clear decision frameworks, templates, and documentation standards to ensure executive compensation decisions are consistent, defensible, and audit-ready.
  • Strategic Coordination: Partner closely with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to manage public-company disclosures and filings, including the Proxy/CD&A, 10-K, and 8-K.
Analysis & Equity Strategy
  • Advanced Modeling: Build and maintain complex Excel-based models to support executive pay decisions, scenario planning, and burn-rate analysis.
  • Equity Oversight: Manage equity guidelines and budget parameters in direct alignment with company strategy and evolving governance standards.
  • Shareholder Engagement: Support research and preparation for shareholder meetings, focusing on executive compensation topics and "Say on Pay" readiness.
Process Excellence
  • Scalability: Ensure all processes are documented, repeatable, and scalable as the organization evolves.
  • Proactive Compliance: Anticipate upcoming governance, disclosure, and regulatory requirements, proactively preparing necessary materials and analyses.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: 10+ years in Compensation, with 7+ years specifically in Executive Compensation within a public-company environment.
  • Background: Experience within a Fortune 100 publicly traded company or a premier compensation consulting firm is required.
  • Technical Mastery: Expert-level Excel and analytical skills (modeling, scenario analysis, and data validation).
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and bring structure to complex, cross-functional work.
  • Discretion: High judgment and attention to detail when managing highly confidential information.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive base salary with significant variable upside (Performance Bonus + Equity).
  • Sign-on bonus and nationwide relocation assistance available.
  • Opportunity to lead a "New Position" within a global technology powerhouse.
