Site Safety Manager

Description:

The Site Safety Manager is responsible for driving a safe and compliant work environment across assigned job sites. This role partners with leadership and field teams to enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, reduce risk, and strengthen overall safety performance.

Reporting to the Safety Director, this position leads safety initiatives, supports regulatory compliance, and ensures that safety programs are effectively executed in the field. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can influence teams, identify risks, and champion a culture where safety is a top priority.

What You'll Do

  • Execute and monitor company-wide safety programs at project sites
  • Lead incident response efforts, including investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and hazard evaluations
  • Partner with project managers, supervisors, and crews to proactively address safety concerns
  • Deliver safety training and ensure workforce compliance with required certifications
  • Track, maintain, and analyze safety data and documentation
  • Identify trends and implement strategies to reduce incidents and improve performance
  • Act as the primary safety liaison between the company, clients, and contractors
  • Promote accountability and reinforce a culture of safety ownership at all levels

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, safety, or related field operations
  • 5+ years in a safety leadership or management role preferred
  • Background in commercial or industrial construction (mechanical/HVAC experience a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments
  • CHST certification (preferred, not required)
  • Proficiency with standard office and reporting tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and train diverse teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
