Security Guard Position

This is a temporary position starting at $25.00/hr. Must have a valid guard card.

40.0 hours of on-site dedicated service per week entailing one dedicated officers/guards on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM with break(s) included.

Officers/Guards will perform the dedicated duty around following instructions: Instructions of AHS SB Regional Moot Crt: Coverage Needed: February 26, 2026 thru March 3, 2026 (5 NIGHTS, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) Location: Santa Barbara: Mar Monte Hotel, 1111 E. Cabrillo Blvd. Santa Barbara, CA 93103 Number of Rooms: 7 Rooms. Monitor hallway of rooms to keep students in their rooms and to keep others from entering.

Position Summary

A Signal Special Events Security Guard will conduct and ensure security of all guests and access points for the Special Events location. All duties listed below are minimum requirements additional duties listed in the site's Post Orders are requirements as well.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fans safety and security by conducting careful entry screening and inspections. This will include the tactful messaging of prohibited items or non-compliant bags that cannot be allowed into the stadium.
• Conduct pat downs as needed to ensure there are no prohibited items entering the stadium.
• Will conduct and deliver various dedicated services that reflect the company's values, expectations, and consistent service in alignment with site specific instructions/post orders.
• Assist guests with any special requests including ADA questions or accommodations.
• You must commit to safety by monitoring crowd activities and report any suspicious activity and/or behavior to your area supervisor.
• Appropriately identify and escalate security concerns to your supervisor or nearest Law Enforcement Officer as needed.
• Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
• Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.
• The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations.
• Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.
• Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, vehicles, and devices, etc.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Some positions may require the repeated climbing of stairs
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud/very loud on event days
• This position may require work in inclement weather to include heat, cold, rain, snow

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Pass background check and drug test
• Must have reliable transportation
• Complete training modules within first month
• Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
• Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
• Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
