Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our Engineering team at our luxury hotel. This role is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic excellence of guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, event spaces, and back-of-house facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, understands high-end finishes, and is committed to delivering a flawless guest experience through exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and fixtures.

Perform surface preparation including sanding, patching, plastering, caulking, and priming.

Match and mix custom colors to maintain brand and design standards.

Apply specialty finishes such as faux finishes, lacquers, stains, varnishes, and wall coverings.

Repair drywall and minor surface damage prior to painting.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to luxury hospitality standards.

Protect furniture, fixtures, and flooring during projects.

Collaborate with Engineering and Housekeeping teams to schedule work with minimal guest disruption.

Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify areas needing touch-ups or refinishing.

Safely handle, store, and dispose of paints and chemicals according to safety regulations.

Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end residential properties.

Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and premium paint products.

Experience with decorative and specialty finishes preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Comfortable working at heights and in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
