Immediate Supervisor: Executive Chef

Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Location: 4015 Via Laguna, Santa Barbara, CA, 93110

Primary Responsibilities: Washing dishes, pots, pans and utensils, clean kitchen, minor food prep, buffet set up and take down, garbage and recycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwasher.
  • Clean tableware.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas.
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Sweep and scrub floors.
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
  • Stock serving stations or dining areas with food or supplies.
  • Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
  • Clean garbage cans with water.
  • Move equipment, supplies or food to required locations.
  • Set up banquet tables.
  • Arrange tables or dining areas.

Licenses and Special Requirements:

  • Food safety certification.

This is a general description. You may be required to perform other duties as requested by your manager.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
  • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in occasional hot environment.
