Sunset Haven and Balance Point, part of Keystone Health Group, are licensed residential treatment programs in Los Angeles. We provide trauma-informed, evidence-based care for individuals facing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.

Role Overview

Residential & Detox Technicians are the front-line support for our clients. You'll help ensure safety, structure, and a positive recovery environment while supporting clinical staff and treatment activities.

What You'll Do

• Welcome new clients, complete intakes, and provide orientation
• Supervise daily routines, activities, and overnight shifts
• Monitor clients during detox and communicate with medical staff as needed
• Administer UDS (urine drug screens) and breathalyzers
• Facilitate check-ins, recreation, or life-skills groups (non-clinical)
• Support facility safety, shift handoffs, and light housekeeping

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Must complete pre-employment requirements: TB screening (renewed annually), background and driving record check, drug screening, and reference checks
• Ongoing screenings are required during employment to ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support a 24/7/365 treatment program
