About the Role

Green Boy Group is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join the Operations Team at our office in downtown Los Angeles!


In this role, you will ensure Green Boy's plant-based food ingredients are delivered accurately and on time, supporting both customer satisfaction and the global shift toward a more sustainable food system. You will manage end-to-end logistics, coordinating shipments from port to warehouse or directly to customers, and ensuring all documentation, timelines, and freight requirements are met.


As part of Green Boy's Operations Team, you'll collaborate closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to keep shipments moving smoothly, resolve issues proactively, and maintain organized records and approvals. Schedule and Work Setting:

  • Full time (40 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Invoice Review & Processing

  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy against purchase orders and contractual terms
  • Enter vendor invoices into the ERP system accurately and on time
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies related to freight, demurrage, detention, or product pricing


Inbound Logistics & Container Tracking

  • Track inbound ocean containers from origin through ports, rail ramps, and final delivery
  • Maintain accurate shipment tracking and internal reporting
  • Proactively identify potential delays and coordinate resolutions with carriers


Last Free Day (LFD) & Carrier Coordination

  • Monitor Last Free Days at ports and rail ramps
  • Coordinate with drayage providers, rail operators, and carriers to ensure timely container pickup
  • Escalate risks related to demurrage and storage charges


Warehouse Receiving & Inventory Management

  • Coordinate inbound deliveries to 3rd party warehouses
  • Confirm product receipt and receive inventory in the ERP system
  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies with warehouse partners


Customer Reporting & Delivery Coordination

  • Create and review transit and shipment status reports for customers
  • Communicate delivery timelines, updates, and delays professionally
  • Send delivery orders and shipping instructions to customers and warehouses


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
  • Experience with ocean freight, ports, rail ramps, and 3rd party warehouses
  • Strong understanding of freight invoices and container-related charges
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (or similar tools)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with custom broker's, drayage, demurrage, detention etc.
  • Familiarity with food ingredient, commodity, or food distribution
