Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Guest Experience is an essential part of the store leadership team, ensuring our team members and guests receive a quality experience in our stores every day. Assistant Managers lead from the floor to build, manage, and develop team members and create an environment where people feel a deep sense of belonging and have the opportunity to grow.

Leadership and People Management

  • Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences.
  • Engage team members by showing how their work supports store and company success.
  • Implement Store Managers People vision and cascade it to team members.
  • Support store manager in hiring and building a strong, diverse team.
  • Provide continuous learning and development opportunities, including feedback, coaching, mentoring, and check?ins.
  • Lead performance management activities: feedback, documentation, rewards, and addressing concerns.
  • Address employee concerns or issues, partnering with internal support when necessary.

Guest Experience and Community
  • Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor by assessing connection and product education levels.
  • Provide retail floor leadership, making in?the?moment decisions to maintain coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Resolve guest feedback and address emergent issues, including escalations and urgent requests.

Operations, Product, and Strategy
  • Partner with managers to review business data and metrics to inform planning processes.
  • Maintain strategic product presentation/visual merchandising, ensuring product recovery, restock, destock, and visual changes.
  • Open and close the store in accordance with procedures.
  • Adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, or regulations.

Budget Responsibility
  • Accountable for delegated aspects of controllable budget and labor hours.

People Management
  • Leadership role directly responsible for a subset of store employees as delegated by Store Manager.

Job Requirements
  • Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have reliable transportation to the store.
  • Schedule/Availability: Variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience: 1 year people management, 1 year leadership in business operations and administration, and 1 year project/process management.
  • Job Assets (nice to have): High school diploma or GED, Bachelors degree, retail or sales management experience, recruiting/hiring/training experience.
  • Work Context: Bright lights, loud music; involves conflict management, de?escalation, relationship building, computer work, movement, and occasional lifting up to 30?lb.

Compensation & Benefits Package

Base Pay Range: $27.31$36.95/hour (subject to minimum wage). Target Bonus: 25%. Total Target Base Pay Range: $34.14$46.19/hour.
