DataStage developer
Location: Cincinnati OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 06 Months plus
Rate: DOE

US Citizens and Green cards are Preferred.

Job Description:

• 10+ years of Information Technology experience
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in DataStage core development is required (requirement gathering/building/designing/testing/compiling/ tuning jobs/flows and implementing ETL workstreams)
• 8 - 10 years of experience in developing Datastage parallel/server/sequence jobs and converting server jobs to parallel jobs.
• 8+ years of experience in Middleware, Data Warehouse, Data Mart and Data Integration applications
• Strong knowledge in combine/sort/aggregate/transform data
• At least 8 years of experience in ETL development within a Data Warehouse.
• Strong Experience (8+ years) interacting with a relational database including DB2/oracle/sql server/snowflake
• Strong SQL/plsql (8+ years) Skills with ability to perform ETL
• Strong knowledge and Understanding of dimensionally-designed databases
• Strong understanding of relational database architecture techniques like EDW
• Strong Knowledge (8 + years) for scripting languages, like Python, Java, Powershell, UNIX scripting, SFTP and basic network principles
• At least 5+ years of banking knowledge is required
• Development & Production Support experience
• Ability to analyze complex data flows and understand existing jobs
• Prepare root cause analysis documents, conduct code review, and test and tune the already developed jobs (running longer/consuming high resources such as cpu/memory etc)
• Translate business requirements into functional / technical specifications
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecyle
• Strong quality and testing practices
• Experience in design-related extraction, loading data functions, testing designs, data modeling, and ensure the smooth running of applications
• Analyzing Audit /monitoring data, identifying gaps, issues patterns, and trends and identify jobs to performance tune and if required engage other squads/PO's, conduct meetings, influence backlogs, and get the jobs performance tuned.
• Analyze application dependencies and conduct an impact assessment of changes
• 8+ years of experience creating documentation, training and conducting knowledge
• Develop, enhance, and maintain code following best practices and standards
• Strong knowledge of Star Schema design and coding (Dimension and Fact Table design)
• 8+ years of experience in testing, debugging skills and troubleshooting support and development issues
• 8 + years of experience with devops pipelines
• Accept escalation from L3 team members in production support issues, address those issues and KT and upskill L3 resource to reduce further escalations.
