ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile Franchise is currently made up of more than 1,000 convenience stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. The growthof the Company has resulted in opportunities to expand the ExtraMile brand within the current footprint, as well as into other states resulting in exciting new employment opportunities.

The Category Space Analyst is a hybrid role that blends responsibilities in Category Planning, JDA Space Planning, and JDA Floor Planning, while supporting various assortment within the convenience store channel. This role will have insight to the Non-Alcoholic, Beer, Spirits, Deli and General Merchandise areas of the business.

Remote opportunity in California.

Duties/Responsibilities
Primary - Category Analytics, JDA Space Planning

• Optimize the use of JDA Space Planning, Category Knowledgebase, Open Access and Web Publisher applications along with related processes.
• Drive improvements, efficiencies, and expertise in JDA application usage, functionality, database management and reporting.
• Develop Assortment and Planogram review processes for assorted categories within a convenience store.
• Demonstrate strong thought leadership and ability to link strategies and objectives to develop an executional plan.

Secondary - JDA Floor Planning

• Develop Merchandising store layouts using standards, business rules, best practices and C-Store shopper insights and analytics.
• Deliver franchisee value and a competitive point of difference though best-in-class merchandising, insights, layouts, planograms, and assortment planning processes and support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in category analytics, merchandising space management, or retail analytics preferably in the convenience store channel.
• Advanced proficiency in Blue Yonder/JDA Space Planning and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).
• Working knowledge/exposure of JDA Floor Planning
• Ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel to include advanced formulas
• Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail ,and excellent written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills.

Additional Details

• Occasional travel may be required (less than 15% annually).
