SPECIFIC JOB COMPETENCIES 1. General - Due to the size and scope of Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, this position is not regularly required on the day shift Monday through Friday, thus requiring different work hours on weekdays vs. weekends, including holiday coverage. The position is also expected to assume various tasks that would otherwise be performed by support staff in larger facilities. Examples include but are not limited to locating and retrieving patient medical records, providing meal period relief for staff, securing medications from the after-hours medication location, transporting patients, and coordination of after-hours surgical services. 2.
