The candidate may reside in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura but will primarily work at our Montecito job site, requiring daily travel./ph3What You Will Do/h3ulliConstruction Inspection: ulliConduct on-site inspections of water and wastewater construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards./liliMonitor and assess construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and permit requirements are met./li/ul/liliDocumentation and Reporting: ulliMaintain detailed and accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and any deviations from approved plans./liliPrepare comprehensive daily inspection reports./liliProvide regular updates to project managers, engineers, and other staff as required./li/ul/liliRegulatory Compliance: ulliEnsure that construction projects adhere to all plans, specification, and permitting requirements./liliEnsure project compliance with all SWPPP and MMRP requirements, as needed./li/ul/liliCommunication and Coordination: ulliCollaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth project execution./liliCommunicate effectively with team members to relay inspection results, project status, and potential risks./li/ul/liliQuality Assurance: ulliImplement and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure that materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet contract requirements./li/ul/li/ulh3What You Bring/h3ulliA passion for water, with an emphasis on creating multi-benefit solutions for communities and the environment./liliPrevious experience in construction, construction management, or inspection, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure./liliDeep knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure design, construction methods, equipment, materials, and applicable code requirements in one or more disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation/liliStrong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills./liliAbility to interpret engineering plans and specifications./liliOSHA training and ISO certifications preferred./liliThis position requires a valid drivers license and the ability to meet company and insurance provider requirements for driving eligibility./li/ulpPay Range: This is a full time non-exempt hourly position, estimated 40 hours per week.
