Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for: - The Sr. Director, Revenue Cycle Operations will be responsible for building and managing Gastro Health's medical billing, insurance and patient collections and related support activities. Initial priorities will include developing the strategic vision, selecting third party billing partners and executing against near-term plans for our U.S. billing initiatives. Future priorities will include fine-tuning the operating activities to optimize revenue collections as well as develop key service and support metrics. In this role, the Sr Director, Revenue Cycle Operations will work closely with executives, directors, and managers as well as third-parties. The Sr Director, Revenue Cycle Operations will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be a valued leader within the company
Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on management of all billing programs, systems, processes and third-party vendors to ensure accurate, timely and well-controlled activities related to billing, collections, education, and support.
- Programs and processes include end-to-end billing and collection activities.
- Formulate and execute policies and procedures for the billing workflow to maintain the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information.
- Provide excellent customer service and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
- Work with Care Center personnel on issue resolution (i.e. payment posting, charge entry, claim submission, scheduling appointments)
- Insurance package creation and assignment to insurance grouping.
- Editing and adjustment of patient statements
- Addition or modification of custom transaction codes.
- Daily reviews of the following programs: Workflow Dashboard, Un-postable and Correspondence dashboards, outstanding
A/R by insurance, zero pay review to determine payers that aren't adjudicating claims and Manager Hold worklists to clear
claims. - Weekly review of the Payment Mismatch wizard to determine which payers are underpaying or overpaying according to
Gastro Health allowable schedules. - Maintain compliance with directives from all regulatory agencies and third-parties.
- Communicate regularly and effectively within the organization and with our third-party providers.
- Assess and respond to customer needs with innovative and customer-centric programs.
- Implement and maintain patient-friendly billing guidelines.
- Provide billing cycle reporting for key financial and operating measures.
- Establish, maintain and modify work standards for the group and third-party providers.
- Work collaboratively with peers in a team-based environment.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation.
• Monitor claims payment to ensure reimbursements match our contracted rates.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and meeting company goals.
• Attending regularly scheduled meetings to include: Executive Committee, Board, Managers, Compliance and CBO
Minimum Requirements:
• 8+ years of progressive revenue cycle management in an integrated healthcare environment with experience in all phases
of the revenue management cycle.
• 5+ years of managerial experience in healthcare revenue management cycle roles.
Preferred Skills: • Extensive knowledge of patient registration, coding, billing, regulatory requirements, billing compliance, business
operations, financial systems and financial reporting.
• Extensive knowledge of hospital data collection and billing systems.
