AGENCY DESCRIPTION
Since 1949, the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) has delivered programs and services focused on the education, prevention, and treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions affecting youth, adults, and families throughout Santa Barbara County.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Clinic Monitor /Treatment Counselor provides support to outpatient substance use treatment services through client monitoring, drug screening, reception coverage, and as-needed treatment counseling services. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a safe and supportive clinic environment and providing brief treatment interventions, individual check-ins, group facilitation, and documentation according to agency and county
The Treatment Counselor is responsible for delivering outpatient substance use treatment services, including client monitoring, drug screening, and reception coverage, to ensure a safe and supportive clinic environment. This role provides brief treatment interventions, conducts individual check-ins, facilitates group sessions, and completes documentation in accordance with agency and county standards. In addition, the counselor supports clients in their recovery journey by offering guidance, monitoring progress, and maintaining the integrity of clinic operations.
