ALL ABOUT SMALL FORMATS

We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest format stores. Experts of service, operations, process and efficiency, this team is responsible for being proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as cashiering, stocking, presentation and price accuracy. Youll provide exceptional guest service, customizing each experience and anticipating guest needs.

Role overview: As a Small Format Team Member, you will support guest services and store operations to maintain a welcoming, efficient shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when assistance is requested.
• Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to assist guests and improve their experience.
• Assist with workload to minimize guest disruption while maintaining service quality.
• Work in all departments to keep the sales floor full, zoned and in stock.
• Assist with truck unload and stock product to the sales floor.
• Make changes to sales floor merchandise displays or other departments as needed.
• Conduct weekly price changes and ensure signage is accurate for all departments.
• Complete scans and system audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support execution of major transitions and maintain store cleanliness (including restrooms, carts, spills, etc.).
• Accurately execute fills and organize reserve product from all departments.
• Process inbound deliveries using the receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Complete backroom daily and weekly audits. If certified, operate powered equipment to move merchandise.
• Maintain backroom organization and follow equipment guidelines.
• Follow processes with attention to detail, monitor progress, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and drive-up while complying with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

Additional Basics

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and move merchandise safely (lifting up to 15 pounds regularly, up to 44 pounds occasionally).
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
• Comfortable with varying temperatures and environmental conditions while performing duties.
