General Purpose: This role is essential in providing a visible presence at store entrances and exits, helping to mitigate theft and fraud while ensuring a safe environment for both associates and customers. The associate will engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, effectively deterring theft by showcasing a commanding presence while adhering to the Code 50 package inspection policy. Regular walks through the sales floor will be conducted to identify and address potential theft indicators as guided by store leadership. You'll work closely with management to promote the company's loss prevention policies and minimize operational losses.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of one year in retail supervision or similar experience preferred
  • Experience in loss prevention or security is a plus
  • Active security guard license is preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
  • Must comply with all relevant federal and state regulations for security positions, including background checks and drug testing

Physical Requirements:

  • Consistent punctuality and regular attendance are required
  • Capable of spending up to 100% of the working time on your feet, walking, and moving around the store
  • Able to lift or lower objects over 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, or crouch as needed
