Role Overview

The Associate Product Manager is a key member of the Product Team that optimizes Kasasa products to ensure client and consumer satisfaction, while identifying opportunities for new product innovation. In this role, you'll work side-by-side with a seasoned team of Product Managers who will provide hands-on mentorship, coaching, and feedback to help you grow your product craft. You'll gain direct exposure to Kasasa's suite of financial technology solutions across checking, loan, and non-interest income products, learning how they are designed, built, and taken to market.

This role works cross-functionally throughout Kasasa to identify and fill product gaps, achieve team and corporate goals, and research opportunities to deliver new and enhanced products to our clients, all while embodying the Patch Values. Operating in a fast-paced, startup-style environment, you'll have the opportunity to impact multiple products at once, participate in business and portfolio strategy discussions to build product judgment and context, and receive structured training and development that accelerates your path to becoming a well-rounded Product Manager.

A successful candidate will be a creative problem solver who is passionate about all things product and thrives in an an entrepreneurial setting where you can observe how ideas turn into real solutions and assist in making them happen for community financial institutions and their consumers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Responsibilities)

  • Infuses the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction
  • Work with senior product managers to achieve annual in-market goals and business plans, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to hit release dates.
  • Engage with clients, prospects, and internal staff to gather and document market needs and business requirements.
  • Assist in managing a product through the product development life-cycle (e.g. product launches, including Sales readiness activities and post-launch efforts).
  • Assist in user-acceptance testing as required.
  • Participate in the leadership of cross-functional teams to resolve problems and implement improvements.
  • Assist in the development of products and projects by writing use-cases and high-level requirements for internal teams.
  • Assist Product Owners in the process of breaking down requirements into Epics and User Stories, backlog management and prioritization of feature development.
  • Support Sales and Account Management with product knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Work with client-facing teams to identify and execute opportunities that increase product penetration including the creation of presentations, case studies, website content, and white papers.
  • Research and analyze market trends, new technologies, and competitors to identify product gaps and identify opportunities.
  • Serve as 'product expert' - respond to product and technical questions, including participation in sales and client calls/visits.
  • Provide general product support as needed, including ad-hoc research, documentation, testing, meeting prep, and follow-up tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of work experience in a financial or technical role
  • Ability to analyze business or technical problems to guide software development
  • Proven history of quick-thinking and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to make presentations
  • Ability to effectively balance multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues at a high level
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
  • Kasasa values the importance of flexibility and collaboration. We offer a hybrid work model where you'll join us in the office for at least three full workdays each week, allowing for meaningful in-person connections and teamwork. The remaining two days offer the option to work remotely, providing you with the balance and autonomy to excel in your role.
  • You will be asked to participate in culture-related meetings, activities, and events. We firmly believe that building culture and teamwork in a company requires extra intentionality, and thus your participation and engagement isn't just encouraged - it is required and part of your role responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Sitting for extended periods of time; approximately 5-6 hours per day
• Simultaneous use of hand, wrist and fingers
• Daily operation of standard office equipment
• Frequent use of oral communication to perform work
• Lifts and moves 7-10 pounds occasionally
