Marketing Communications Manager

Description:

The Marketing Communications Manager leads the development and execution of integrated marketing and branding strategies that strengthen MCMs presence across all touchpoints. This role oversees advertising, promotions and regulatory compliance, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity. The position builds cross?functional partnerships to align marketing efforts with business goals, manages the regulatory review of communications, and leverages new platforms to enhance engagement. Additionally it supports the planning and execution of company events and conferences to elevate MCMs brand and showcase its capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead protection and stewardship of the MCM brand, ensuring employees and external vendors follow brand standards and maintain consistency across all external materials.
  • Direct firm?wide electronic communications, including planning, designing, and coordinating email marketing campaigns to inform clients and prospects about news, offerings, and events.
  • Oversee digital channels in partnership with IT, including LinkedIn, Vimeo, and the company website, to ensure content is current, on?brand, and strategically aligned.
  • Manage the development of marketing collateral (brochures, videos, flyers, webpages, emails) by guiding the marketing teams use of Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce to deliver high?quality promotional materials.
  • Own the use of Sales Cloud and Pardot to build dynamic distribution lists, track campaign performance, and coach colleagues on leveraging data to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Lead ongoing enhancements, reporting, and dashboard development within Salesforce to improve user experience, visibility, and data?driven decision?making.
  • Direct planning and execution of marketing?related events, including client events, partnership events, and MCM?sponsored community events, overseeing guest lists, invitations, event materials, vendor/venue coordination, and onsite brand presence.
  • Oversee creation and governance of presentation templates for client?facing materials and review key presentations to ensure brand alignment and professional formatting.
  • Drive the firms thought?leadership program (e.g., newsletters) by setting the editorial calendar, overseeing layout and design, managing distribution, and promoting content on LinkedIn and other channels.
  • Lead cross?functional teams in the end?to?end execution of webinars and seminars, from scheduling and campaign strategy through creative development, production, and editing for post?event distribution.
  • Manage relationships with marketing, communications, and PR vendors, ensuring all third?party deliverables align with MCMs brand strategy and quality standards.
  • Establish a measurement framework by consolidating data from Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Zoom to analyze campaign performance, partner with optimization vendors when appropriate, and deliver clear dashboards and insights to the executive team.

Additional responsibilities
  • Define and own key performance metrics for marketing communications, translating campaign and channel data into insights and recommendations for the executive team.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on brand positioning, client communications, and reputation management, including handling sensitive or high?profile announcements.
  • Establish and enforce governance for all client?facing and public communications, including brand standards, regulatory considerations, and approval workflows.
  • Manage and mentor marketing team members and key external partners, setting priorities, delegating work, and providing feedback to raise overall quality and effectiveness.
  • Champion experimentation with new channels, technologies, and content formats, building business cases, running pilots, and scaling successful initiatives.
  • Lead cross?functional initiatives with IT, Compliance, Sales, and Client Service to ensure a cohesive end?to?end client communication experience.

Experience and Education
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
  • Five (5)+ years of successful marketing communication experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing and communications programs, including brand, digital, content, and events, with measurable impact on business goals.
  • Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated, relationship?driven industry, with familiarity working alongside Compliance and Legal on client and public communications.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior executives, advise on messaging and reputation, and translate complex concepts into clear, client?ready communications.
  • Hands?on expertise with core tools you use (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot or similar marketing automation, Adobe Creative Suite, email and web CMS platforms, analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Zoom reporting).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across formats (presentations, web, email, thought leadership, social posts), with a portfolio or work samples demonstrating voice, clarity, and brand alignment.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in results?oriented environment.
  • Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strategic listening skills.
  • Strong organizational skills - attention to detail and self?motivator willing to take the initiative.
