Job Details

Be responsible for DB2 availability and recovery strategies and procedures. Diagnostics and troubleshooting of errors with performance tuning of SQL and processes. Create and manage database reports. This is long term work.

Responsibilities

• Performance and capacity tuning of system parameters and resources, utilizing various monitoring and reporting tools
• Perform problem analysis and resolution, both technical and application related

Requirements

• IRS MBI Clearance
• 10+ years IBM System Z experience and concepts
• IBM DB2 utilities, CA Tools for DB2
• Backup/recovery/logging facilities and strategies
• Firm grasp on DB2 database management and deployment
• IBM CICS, batch COBOL
• IBM Information Management System

Nice to Have

• Java, web services, SOA concepts
• Application Management Services experience
