Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing control systems for equipment, process, and product.
  • Develop standards and benchmarks for program manufacturing readiness.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
  • Design an optimized manufacturing processes flow to meet customer product quality and delivery.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods driving on quality, cost, and first pass yield improvement.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, design layout of equipment, workplace for maximum efficiency, safety and EH&S requirements.
  • Maintain and improve all equipment/processes related to efficiency, cycle times, capacity and capabilities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to determine product specifications.
  • Participate in early NPI involvement & new capabilities readiness.
  • Create and manage department short and long term KPI's.
  • Manage, maintain and train on ERP systems.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12+ years of experience or a Master's with 10+ years of experience.
  • At least 4 years in a management capacity.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Strong background in 5S.
  • Experience leading teams within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in one or more of the following CAD Software: Visio, Solidworks, Catia, Draftsight, AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.

Desired Skills

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Minimum of 4 years Aerospace experience.
  • Experience in RCCA methodology.
  • Experience with public speaking and effective communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices, continuous improvement initiatives and manage KPI's.

Pay Range

$170,500 - $235,000/yr.
