Position Overview: The Food & Beverage Manager is a key ambassador of our club's hospitality culture, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect our commitment to quality and community. This role oversees all aspects of food and beverage operations, including dining services and event execution throughout the club.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial & Operational Management
Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.
Ensure timely POS reconciliation, and accurate reporting.
Oversee purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and vendor relations.
Maintain compliance with food safety standards and applicable regulations.
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional service.
Implement orientation and ongoing professional development programs.
Monitor labor costs and scheduling to maintain efficiency and budget compliance.
Maintain a work environment that encourages accountability and growth.
Member Experience & Event Oversight
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Events Manager to deliver exceptional dining and event experiences.
Approve menus, pricing, and wine programs; ensure creative and profitable offerings.
Engage with members and guests, address concerns, and ensure service standards are consistently exceeded.
Oversee reservation systems for dining and events.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of service delivery.
Marketing & Promotions
Develop initiatives to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
Create promotional programs for dining, wine, and special events.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations.
Ensure proper training for emergency situations and maintain preventive maintenance standards.
Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards across all dining areas.
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of events, inventories, and business volumes.
Work with the Controller/CFO to develop operating reports and ensure financial accountability.
Serve as manager-on-duty as needed and complete other assignments from the General Manager.
Essential Functions: Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs when moving furniture or supplies.
Frequently push, pull, or reposition carts, tables, chairs, and event equipment.
Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, or reach to set up service areas and venues.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Able to work in occasional hot environments.
