JOB TITLE: Driver-Front End Loader Commercial
LOCATION: Santa Barbara
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Front-End Loader Driver is responsible for safely operating a front-end loader truck to service customer bins in a safe and efficient manner. Bins may weigh in excess of 500 pounds and at times require drivers to maneuver wheeled containers into position for Truck to lift/service. Driver will transport material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility. Driver navigates traffic and congested roadways, alleyways & shopping center parking lots. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to performing this job successfully.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or the equivalent; one year of driving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Commercial license Class A or B and current medical certificate.

Bins may weigh in excess of 500 pounds and will require the driver to maneuver wheeled containers into position for truck to lift/service. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Required to put on protective outfits, like gloves, safety footwear, and hardhat.
Compensation details: 29-32.8 Hourly Wage
