Sr. Java Developer with Spring

Location: Goleta, CA onsite

Day one onsite; relocation will be considered with written guarantee from the consultant that relocation is required.

Base pay range: $43.00/hr - $43.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain the eCommerce B2B stack developed using Java microservices based technology stack leveraging AWS as the cloud infrastructure
• Domain knowledge of B2B constructs of eCommerce including Organizations, Contracts, Catalog Filters, Quote workflows, BOM, Buy On Behalf, Order Punchouts, Purchase Order, Credit Lines, Requisition Lists, Saved carts, etc.
• Knowledge of integrations with downstream eCommerce systems like OMS, Store Systems, ERP
• Knowledge on event driven architecture and reactive microservices programming
• Expert in eCommerce domain with knowledge of subsystems like Profile, Product/Catalog, Browse & Search, Cart/Order/Checkout, Payment Integrations
• Experience integrating eCommerce solutions with PBCs like Search platforms, Loyalty, Payments, Recommendations engines
• Expert in one of the CSPs (AWS/Azure/GCP) with in-depth knowledge of the services offered
• Should have been involved in at least one design/implementation of the overall eCommerce solution from scratch
• Experience implementing and maintaining SQL or NoSQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, Mongo, Cassandra, Cosmos, Dynamo, etc.), ensuring data integrity and security
• Use infrastructure as code practices with Terraform or equivalents (AWS CloudFormation/Azure ARM Templates/Google Deployment Manager)
• Implement continuous performance monitoring and optimization using tools like New Relic, DataDog, etc.
• Knowledge of API Gateways, Serverless Functions, and message broker services such as EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Kafka
• Experience in microservices frameworks; Java Spring Boot preferred
• Good knowledge of API concepts and technologies (REST, JSON, GraphQL, Swagger)
• Knowledge in integrations via APIs with third-party systems (e.g., Payment gateway, Fraud check, Inventory Services, Promotions)
• Good knowledge of in-memory/distributed caching mechanisms (Spring, EhCache, Redis, Hazelcast)
• Understanding of L3 support processes and collaboration with L1/L2 teams to monitor, analyze, and expedite issue resolution; automate SOPs where possible
• Willingness to work with some overlap with offshore (IST) hours for handoffs to the offshore L3 team
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and JIRA
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures
• Experience with Service-Oriented Design and Open-Source technology stacks
