The Dietary Aide, or Nutrition Aide, is responsible for preparing and delivering healthy meals and ensuring that patients have the proper foods based on their needs. They work closely with Dietitians, providing them details on allergies or restrictions to create plans accordingly. Prepare food according to instructions while adhering strictly to safety and health standards. Uses strong attention to detail for all meal preparation to ensure patients receive appropriate food and nutritional needs. Applies effective communication skills since they work directly with patients, Dietitians, and other medical professionals. Dietary Aids work with patients to ensure they get the nutrition they need throughout the day. Guided by a lead Dietitian or Chef who oversees the distribution of food and drinks to patients throughout the shift.
Essential Responsibilities:
Education and Work Experience:
Required Degree: High school diploma
Certificate(s): Current Food Handler's Permit is required. Training in Servsafe is beneficial.
Experience: Desired is one (1) year of food service experience including serving/waiting tables, cleaning and kitchen sanitation protocols, basic food/meal prep is preferred.

Compensation Pay Range: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.50 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
