Location: Goleta, CA (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical & Mechanical Assembler with experience in soldering and hands-on assembly. This role involves working on high-quality acoustic sensor components including piezoelectric transducers, sonar arrays, and associated hardware. Key Responsibilities
Electrical Assembly:
* Perform wiring and soldering tasks
* Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
* Cut and tin wires, crimp, and connect leads to components
* Manufacture cables and wiring harnesses including co-axial, twin-axial, and fiber-optic
Mechanical Assembly:
* Sanding, lapping, epoxy bonding, encapsulation, and chemical mixing
* Torque components, install subassemblies, and use jigs/fixtures for alignment
* Assemble and attach hardware such as switches, clamps, and knobs
* Perform potting, cleaning, curing, stamping, etching, and other tasks
Quality & Inspection:
* Conduct in-process inspections to ensure assembly meets specifications
* Follow production drawings, instructions, and work orders with attention to detail
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency in soldering (required)
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and verbal instructions
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to work independently and in a team setting
* Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Santa Barbara, CA
