The Senior QNXT Configuration Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, testing, and implementing configuration changes to the organization's core business applications, including the Cognizant QNXT product suite. This position ensures system configurations align with business needs and regulatory requirements through collaboration with internal teams and external vendor partners. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to optimize system performance in a fast-paced, healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Configure, test, and maintain core systems to support business processes and ensure system integrity
  • Implement updates and configuration changes based on user requirements and organizational needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues to maintain performance and reliability
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all business configuration applications
  • Partner with vendor and implementation resources on complex configuration changes
  • Build an internal knowledge base of configuration rules to reduce vendor reliance post-implementation
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise across multiple QNXT modules and integration points
  • Develop configuration queues and supporting processes following implementation
  • Review functional design and business requirements for accuracy and quality control
  • Recommend and implement configuration changes to improve efficiency and streamline processing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for system configurations
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system design documentation
  • Lead and participate in projects related to system configuration and implementation
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requests to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure milestones are achieved
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimization
  • Conduct regular system audits and assessments to ensure optimal configuration and functionality
  • Provide advanced user support for system configuration issues
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users
  • Assist in creating user manuals, documentation, and FAQs
  • Ensure all system configurations comply with regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to system configuration and operations
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies related to healthcare IT systems
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance system configuration activities
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and expand technical expertise
  • Perform other related duties as assigned



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in QNXT system configuration, analysis, or related healthcare roles
  • Demonstrated experience with QNXT configuration, testing, and upgrades (prototyping, enhancements, unit testing)
  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, including claims, authorizations, eligibility, provider contracts, and benefits
  • Proficiency with SQL, scripting languages, and system configuration tools
  • Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), release management, and change control
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data sets such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
  • Experience in a managed care or health plan environment preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP or ITIL preferred
  • Familiarity with health information exchanges (HIE) and EHR systems preferred



Compensation:


  • Salary Range: $117,904 - $147,381 - $176,857
