Specialist, Electrical Engineering at L3Harris Technologies. Goleta, CA on-site. Schedule: 9/80 with every other Friday off. Specialist, Electrical Engineering
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate and integrate electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high-performance hardware systems.
- Design circuit card assemblies from start to finish, including digital HDL and/or analog design, PCB layout, and qualification testing.
- Apply specialized skill sets across digital, analog, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, and control systems as required.
- Select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability analyses.
- Configure programmable logic devices using high-level programming languages.
- Collaborate with teams with excellent verbal and written communication, time management, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Perform schematic capture, electrical simulation, PCB layout, and conduct engineering and production tests.
- Demonstrate proficiency in analog design (
- Provide up to 30% field support for system installation years and ~10% travel for incidental field testing or troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or graduate degree with 2+ years; or equivalent 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in analog and power OR FPGA circuit card design.
- Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Preferred Additional Skills
- Proficiency with LTSpice, Cadence/Allegro, Mentor Graphics, VHDL/Verilog using Xilinx Vivado.
- Technical writing experience (test procedures, specifications, white papers, design reviews, presentations).
- Experience with Class-D Power Amplifiers, DSP for audio, impedance matching.
- Experience with EVMS and Control Account Management.
- Active DoD security clearance.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges vary by location: Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, New York State: $79,000$146,500; California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, Denver, Washington State, New York City: $90,500$168,500. Final offer varies by experience and location.
