Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll and Benefit Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $70,000 to $98,00 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Administer and process semi-monthly payroll while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Audit payroll functions and employee data regularly to maintain integrity in payroll processing.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports to the Finance team in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update employee records, including HRIS data and physical files.
• Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including healthcare, 401(k), and various leave programs.

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Have 5-7+ years of experience in payroll processing, including job costing.
• Possess 3-5+ years of experience in human resources administration.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Federal and California Wage and Hour laws, with ongoing coursework in compliance regulations.
• Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.

• Display excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail in payroll and benefits administration.
• Maintain outstanding verbal and written communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
• Uphold a high degree of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data.
• Show strong interpersonal and customer service skills when addressing payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Apply independent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to improve payroll processes.
