Healthcare Advocate

Southern California (Remote)


Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue contracting opportunities with health plans, counties, state, and federal entities
  • Target and establish relationships with organizations where PHG does not currently have partnerships
  • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and support timely, competitive submissions
  • Write and submit federal and state grant applications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
  • Research and evaluate new grant opportunities to expand funding streams
  • Track grant deliverables and ensure compliance with all funding requirements
  • Serve as a liaison to external stakeholders, including health plans, medical groups, and community organizations
  • Strengthen PHG's visibility and reputation within the Southern California healthcare ecosystem

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare administration, contracting, grants, or program coordination
  • Demonstrated success in managing agreements, meeting deadlines, and ensuring compliance
  • Experience preparing accurate reports and working cross-departmentally to align processes

Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, managed care, or community health contracts
  • Experience preparing or submitting grants in a healthcare or nonprofit setting

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM (may vary slightly)

Contract Length:

1040 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.


Pay:

$70,304.00 - $74,500.00 (Dependent on experience)
