Chief Innovation Officer role at Cottage Health. The position provides executive oversight of enterprise-wide activities that support innovation and technology commercialization. The CIO leads the Innovation Program and collaborates with institutional leaders to identify and develop opportunities for innovations in healthcare, and ensures effective evaluation, marketing, protection, and out-licensing of the intellectual property portfolio. The role also involves fostering partnerships with industry, investors, and development resources to advance commercialization efforts.
Base pay range$366,000.00/yr - $527,040.00/yr
Major AccountabilitiesEducation: Advanced degree (Master's level in business, law, or a related field) or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Years of Related Work Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience in areas such as business management, innovation, venture/program development, IP licensing; minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
Technical Requirements: Experience with technology corporations; strong IP management and commercial translation of early-stage assets; experience negotiating strategic partnerships and licenses in healthcare, academic, or industry settings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong problem solving, decision making, leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; industry relationships are valuable.
