Pay Rate/Range: The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $180,000 to $220,000/year. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University. The full salary range for this position is $132,600 to $259,800/year.

The UCSB Nanofabrication Facility within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is a world-class cleanroom with class 100 and class 1000 spaces. The 12000+ sq ft facility supports optics, electronics, materials, MEMS, and physics, serving UCSB faculty, graduate students, researchers, external companies, universities, and government institutions. The NanoFab Facility continually updates, installs, and qualifies new fabrication tools and processes to stay at the cutting edge of wafer fabrication techniques.

Under the general direction of the UCSB Nanofabrication Facility Technical/Operational director, the R&D manager is responsible for the technical and operational supervision and management of an advanced semiconductor prototyping facility expected to serve significant numbers of UCSB and external users during the year.
