Position Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating sustaining, product and development engineering projects. This role directly manages others, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, training, and evaluation of the design team. Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions and global partners is required for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide application and design assistance which includes customer visits and support to other internal colleagues
  • Review, interpret, and act on customer-provided requests
  • Recommend and implement standards and specifications relevant to our products
  • Apply engineering principles and analysis for the resolution of technical problems, development and design of new products, test validation, design results, and more
  • Implement business operating procedures related to New Product Introduction, PDM & CAD systems and engineering tools
  • Develop models of alternate processing methods to test feasibillity of new applications of components; recommend implementation of improved procedures
  • Support and champion safety and ergonomic programs
  • Recommend and coordinate technical training programs including product training for internal and external customers
  • Drive self and team development to stay apprised of new technologies and techniques
  • Carry out leadership activities over a designated team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years direct management experience
  • 7+ years relevant technical experience; experience within a manufacturing environment and/or liquid cooling systems a plus
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
