If you share the same sentiment, then this opportunity is for you. Rosewood Miramar Beach, a Rosewood Hotel, is seeking an outstanding Security Officer. The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, hotel associates, and property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Report for duty punctually, ready to work in full uniform, paying attention to personal hygiene and tidiness.
  2. Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and associates and to protect all hotel assets.
  3. Assist guests and associates with safety and security concerns, respond to house calls.
  4. Investigate crimes against property and persons, follow-up on all incidents.
  5. Assist sick and injured guests and associates, documenting incidents appropriately.
  6. Check alarm systems, fire safety equipment, monitor building doors, service areas, and delivery zones.
  7. Maintain accurate records, including camera monitoring logs, shift activity logs, and other reports.
  8. Secure evidence or scenes of incidents, set up barriers and signage, direct others as needed.
  9. Observe and report suspicious activity or incidents.
  10. Respond to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, flooding, hazardous materials, and weather-related events following established procedures.
  11. Manage the Lost and Found department, ensuring proper property handling and documentation.
  12. Follow safety guidelines, report hazards, and work within safety protocols.
  13. Handle guest-related incidents professionally.
  14. Monitor railroad tracks, assist guests in crossing safely, and ensure crossing gates are closed when trains pass.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned, with the understanding that duties may change based on business needs.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, perform physical movements, and communicate effectively with guests and staff.


Qualifications:

High School diploma required; hospitality background preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience as a Security Officer in a luxury or ultra-luxury property is preferred.

The pay range for this position is between $21.00 and $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
