Human Resources Generalist

Description:

Our client is a financial technology company. They seek a Human Resources Generalist to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure HR operations align with legal and global company requirements
  • Prepare the monthly payroll process, working closely with the payroll team
  • Oversee payroll-related activities related to pension, RRSP, and benefits
  • Work with global HR team members across regions on various HR projects
  • Align the company's procedures to comply with employment regulations
  • Lead onboarding and off-boarding activities, including collecting WFH equipment
  • Support the HR Manager in complex employee relations cases.
  • Liaise with the Compliance team on secondments and general support
  • Assist with immigration matters, including tracking the status of employees
  • Monitor the HR inbox, to ensure a timely response to employee issues/questions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 6+ years of HR experience required
  • Financial services industry background
  • Employment relations experience
  • Analytical and solution-focused problem solver
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and with confidential information
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
