Under the supervision of the Correctional Counselor II, the Correctional Counselor I (CC I) manages a caseload of approximately 160 inmates. Responsibilities include organizing and analyzing information for classification and parole planning, performing peace officer duties, and assisting custodial staff during emergencies such as fights, escapes, or riots. The CC I supervises inmate conduct, maintains safety, conducts interviews, prepares reports, and participates in disciplinary hearings and other related activities.
This is a Limited Term position for 12 months, with potential extension up to 24 months or becoming permanent. Candidates eligible for Training and Development assignments may also be considered.
